At Scrappy’s Scoopers, our mission goes beyond simply cleaning yards — it’s about creating a happier environment for pets, families, and the neighborhoods we share. We believe that every pet & child deserves a fun and dump-free space to play, and every owner deserves the peace of mind that comes with a clean and tidy yard. As a family-owned business, we know the love, joy, and responsibility that comes with caring for pets, which is why we treat each home as if it were our own. We are committed to building lasting relationships with our clients through honesty, reliability, and a genuine passion for what we do. Our goal is to make life a little easier for pet owners and busy families. At the heart of it all, we care deeply about your pets, your family, and the place we all call home.
Our Owner
Scrappy’s Scoopers was founded by me, Justin Metz, with the support of my wife, Heather, and our four kids — Hunter, Hux, Acen, and Ayla — out of a desire to make life easier for families like ours. After years of picking up after our own dogs (and dealing with kids tracking ‘landmines’ through the house), we realized how big of a hassle this chore can be — yet how important it is for keeping yards and homes safe, clean, and enjoyable. Motivated by my faith and a passion for serving locally, I stepped out to start a family business that would help our community in a practical way…turning backyards into playgrounds instead of ‘dumping’ grounds! Our goal has always been simple: to provide reliable, convenient service that saves pet owners time while keeping their spaces fresh and well maintained. With my family by my side, Scrappy’s Scoopers has grown into more than just a yard cleanup company — it’s a neighborly service built on trust, care, and consistency. Every yard we scoop or mow is one less thing for a busy family to worry about, and that’s the difference we love making.

Who is Scrappy?
“Scrappy has been part of our family for over a decade, and he’s the heart behind Scrappy’s Scoopers. My wife found him in a dumpster more than 10 years ago in Santa Monica, California, and since then he’s been living the good life — now happily chasing squirrels and snoozing in our bed right here in Collinsville, Illinois. At almost 14 years old, Scrappy has been with us since the very beginning of Heather and I’s relationship, sharing in every chapter of our journey. He’s more than just our dog — he’s family, inspiration, and the reason this business carries his name.
